Direct support professionals (DSPs) are people who work directly with individuals with all types of developmental disabilities with the aim of assisting the individual to become integrated into his /her community or the least restrictive environment.
DSPs assists an individual with a developmental disability to lead a self-directed life and contribute to the community, assists with activities of daily living if needed, and encourages attitudes and behaviors that enhance community inclusion. A DSP may provide supports to a person with a disability at home, work, church, and other community places. A DSP also acts as an advocate for individuals with disabilities in communicating their needs, self-expression and goals.
Meaningful Day Services has proudly been serving individuals with developmental disabilities since 1994. We are currently seeking DSP supports in the following settings:

Adult Day Supports Indianapolis

Children’s Respite Supports;-Indianapolis and surrounding areas flexible daytime and evening hours

Children’s After School Program- Brownsburg, IN, 2:30-600 pm weekdays

Residential Supports- weekend and overnight hours available

Requirements:

High School Diploma

Reliable transportation

Valid Indiana driver's license & auto insurance with $100,000/$300,000 bodily injury & liability limits

Must be 18 or older
In 2023, Meaningful Day Services will be receiving funding from a BDDS grant program and will use the proceeds to fund the following benefits for DSP staff in 2023:

Two extra paid sick days which can also be used for family member illness.

Additional pay each pay period based on the hours worked in the previous period.

Stress management training which staff are paid to attend.
