Meaningful Day Services has proudly been serving individuals with developmental disabilities since 1994. We are currently seeking Recreational Therapists that will effectively work within our company culture, which is described as being family-friendly, supportive, transparent, and treats employees as we would want employees to treat our clients.

We are seeking therapists that are good advocates for their clients, solution-oriented, honest and passionate.

Our therapists conduct standardized assessments for each consumer, attend interdisciplinary team meetings, develop and implement treatment plans and interventions based on assessed need, educate families and caregivers on TR processes and techniques, and document measurable client progress on a quarterly basis. Consumers are typically seen 1x/week for 1-2 hour sessions and services are based on state allocation within the consumer's plan.

Requirements:

  • Hold a minimum bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university. The degree must be in therapeutic recreation or recreational therapy, or related field.

  • Experience or training in the field of developmental disabilities.

  • Apply the APIE process and work as a team member within a residential, clinical or community setting.

  • Hold a valid driver's license and insurance with $100,000/$300,000 minimum coverage.

  • Work with assigned clients as well as the ability to train and mentor others.

  • Certified Therapeutic Recreation Specialist
