About Occupational Therapy

Occupational therapy helps clients participate in the things they want and need to do through the therapeutic use of everyday activities, or occupations. Occupational therapists achieve this outcome by enabling clients to learn new skills or improve current skills. They may also modify a task or the client's environment to better support their ability to participate to the best of their ability. Occupational therapists work closely with the client's family and other professionals to best meet the needs of each client.

  • Treatment modality: Meaningful Day Services is dedicated to providing quality Occupational Therapy services to children and adolescents. Our goal is to help clients participate in the things they want and need to do through the therapeutic use of everyday activities, or occupations. Occupational therapy services include an individualized evaluation using both clinical observations and standardized assessment, client/family and occupational therapist collaboration to determine appropriate and meaningful goals for each client, customized interventions to improve the client's ability to perform daily activities and reach their goals, and regular outcome evaluations to ensure that the goals are being met and/or make changes to the intervention plan.
