Meaningful Day Services, Inc. is looking for an occupational therapist who has a passion for making a difference in the lives of children and young adults. Our southern Indiana (Jeffersonville, IN) location offers a unique multidisciplinary team including speech therapy, occupational therapy, recreational therapy, music therapy, and applied behavioral analysis therapy. Frequent collaboration between these services allows for maximum carryover of therapy strategies and problem solving challenging situations. Our occupational therapy department is rapidly growing, and we are in immediate need of a part time occupational therapist with opportunity to expand your caseload to full time status. Meaningful Day Services, Inc. is an Indiana-based company that provides therapies, residential and adult day supports to individuals with developmental disabilities. Our mission is to provide quality, hands-on services that enhance and improve the independence of each unique individual. This position provides occupational therapy services to a pediatric population ranging from school age to adolescent individuals with a variety of disorders/delays.
As a member of the interdisciplinary team, the occupational therapist will:

Evaluate, plan, and implement occupational therapy services in the treatment of self-care, independent living, sensory-motor integration, and cognitive skills

Establish appropriate treatment plans with age appropriate goals and target timeframes, which are discussed with family and mutually agreed upon

Collaborate with behavioral consultants, direct ABA staff, music therapy, and recreational therapy on a regular basis

Use pediatric based behavioral management strategies and match interventions to age and disability of children.

Work with family members and care givers to help clients reach potential and incorporate strategies into daily routines

Requirements:

Graduation from an accredited Occupational Therapy Program (required)

NBCOT certified (required)

State of Indiana license in Occupational Therapy (required prior to start date)

At least one year of pediatric experience (preferred)
